Paolo Taticchi

Paolo Taticchi is the Director of the Global Online MBA at Imperial College Business School where he also covers the position of Principal Teaching Fellow in Management and Sustainability and the role of Director of Global Initiatives. At the Business School, in the past, he also directed the MSc Managementand the MSc Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Management.

Prior to this, Paolo was Associate Professor and Director of the MBA Programmes at the Royal Docks Business School of the University of East London; Director of Studies of the Bradford-Perugia MBA in Italy; and Assistant Professor in Business and Management Engineering at the University of Perugia. In the recent years, Paolo has hold Visiting Professor positions at New York University(US) and ESAN Business School(Peru).

Paolo’s research on performance measurement and management, business networks and corporate sustainability is internationally recognised. Paolo has authored 50+ scientific articles and edited and co-authored the books “Business Performance Measurement and Management: new contexts, themes and challenges” and “Corporate Sustainability” published by Springer internationally (90.000+ e-chapters downloads).

Paolo has teaching experience in 13 countries, and is regularly invited in international MBA and EMBA programs in Europe, Africa, Asia and the Americas. At Imperial, Paolo teaches modules on Sustainability and Competitive Advantage, Strategy, Global Operations and Projects and The Future of Cities. Paolo offers regularly keynotes in international government and corporate summits.

Paolo has successfully co-founded and directed six International Summer Schools for prestigious Universities based in New York, and is the Co-Founder and Co-Organizer of the Taiwan-Italy International Internship Program.

Furthermore, Paolo has significant consultancy experience in the fields of strategy, operations and sustainability with both small and large firms in different industries including cement, chemical, construction, education, energy, food, health care, industrial supply, information technologies, manufacturing, textile and waste.

Moreover, he has entrepreneurial experience. In fact, he co-founded two firms in the fields of engineering and consultancy. Currently, Paolo is advising tech start-ups in the UK and a social-venture in India.

Paolo has received several awards for the impact of his projects; and several newspapers have covered his work, including: Financial Times, Forbes, The Telegraph, Daily Mirror, The Sun, Semana Sostenible, La Repubblica, Inspire, Sole 24 Ore, La Nazione, Corriere della Sera, La Stampa.

In 2018, Paolo was featured in the “40 World’s Best Business Professors under 40” by prestigious international website & rankings Poets&Quants. In the same year, Paolo was awarded the decoration of Knight of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic.

Paolo holds a Bachelor and Master in Mechanical Engineering with top marks, a Master in Business Administration with a focus on Innovation and a PhD in Industrial Engineering with a focus on Operations Management. Paolo’s is also an Alumnus of Harvard Business School Executive Education where he completed theHigh Potentials Leadership Programme.
